I ordered this after first reading the reviews here and then got cold feet and tried to cancel the order after reading reviews on just the grip itself. Too late - it had already shipped. When it arrived I thought I would at least take a look. I was pleasantly surprised! I am not sure what model the other reviewers received but mine has the dial wheel by the shutter button. I did not notice any missing buttons or features that are on the Canon grip. I used the batteries and grip for a wedding - 6 locations from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and ceremony pics at 7PM. 800 pictures without battery change.

This is the first grip I have used and it does add quite a bit of weight to the outfit. My arms were a bit tired by the end of the day. But the extra battery life and ability to comfortably shoot portrait mode was great!

Some of us can't afford the name brand battery packs, so we get these :) And they work just as well!! Honestly, you'd never be able to tell this wasn't a Canon brand battery pack. It is secure and gets the job done. It's so nice having two batteries to use instead of just one - you never want to be without a backup, so two is always good. And the fact that it comes with two batteries - WONDERFUL deal!! I would recommend this to anyone!

I haven't used this grip a lot yet, but so far I am happy with the quality. I haven't had any issues with it all and find it very convenient to not only have double battery life, but also be able to take a picture vertically without looking like an idiot trying to find the button. I love that it comes with two free batteries. From what I can tell they work great. I haven't used them extensively enough to tell the difference between these batteries and the canon brand battery life, but for the price of all this wrapped together you can't beat it.

This battery grip DOES NOT HAVE THE MAIN DIAL, making it very inconvenient to use. Many settings are made to the camera using the main dial (located just behind the camera's shutter release); to make main dial adjustments when in portrait position when gripping this battery grip, the photographer must move the camera toward the landscape position, then move his or her hand to the camera's grip to reach the CAMERA'S main dial! OR, at least move their hand position from the battery grip, to an awkward position at the camera's grip, while keeping the camera positioned in portrait position, to reach the camera's main dial! Either way is a cumbersome, inconvenient method.

Also, I find the claim in the product description that this is from original Canon molds hard to believe. Canon's molds would include the cut-out for a main dial, this grip does not have that cut-out, just smooth plastic.

But it does include 2 batteries, and a battery holder for AA batteries.

Now, look closely at the ZEIKOS brand battery grip. IT HAS THE MAIN DIAL, but does not include the 2 batteries. It also includes a battery holder for AA batteries, and it gets better reviews on Amazon.

Both grips cost roughly the same! ...I can always get 2 batteries, but I can never add a main dial! ...This is a no-brainer for me! 'ZEIKOS',...Now, you decide for yourself.
